Just finished up this crawlspace encapsulation for the Smith family in Madison!
A decision was made to alleviate the moisture issues under this home. This is very common across North Alabama and all across the South. If you build a home today, it is code to have foundation vents if you have a crawlspace. What we’ve found in the last 20 years, is this leads to a lot of problems. The interchange of hot, humid air with a cool environment like what’s under your home, creates the perfect environment for moisture. When this hot air meets cool air, it causes a condensation reaction. Your ductwork starts dripping water, and the lumber under your home starts soaking up this new moisture. This leads to mold, sagging floor joists, and cupping hardwood floors.
Our remedy for this home was a 20 MIL Encapsulation and an Aprilaire Dehumidifier! No longer does this family have to worry about polluted air, floor problems, and cracking walls.
PEACE OF MIND, FOR A LIFETIME!
